24” x 36” - Canvas
I will never stop learning. As a photographer, no matter how technically sound my theory and technique may be, I am always learning and developing my craft. University libraries, like the one photographed here at the University of California San Diego, collectively contain the largest collection of general knowledge known to civilization. Photography theory may be learned in great detail, within the walls of any library, but the act of photography can only be actualized through practice, hence the phrase "practice makes perfect". Although I do not believe perfection exists within the realm of photography, the allure of capturing the ever elusive "perfect image" still remains on the minds of all photographers. Perhaps one day, I will be fortunate enough to capture an image deemed "perfect" by my peers and audience abroad, but until then, I will reamin humble in my craft and learn from each experience I encounter.
